Three Digital Illustrations using Photoshop
The theme of this project portrays the dark side of healthcare, as I have personally experienced and observed social issues. The three illustrations unfold through the three areas of: high cost, children and surgery. The illustrations are used to give people a voice.

High Cost
Topic 1: The high cost of medical visits. From my experience, and the experiences of the people close to me, many hospitals have inflated charges, and many common items do not even have the same price.
Children
Topic 2: Children are test subjects. My good friend from college, Yuki, told me on a questionnaire I posted about how she was given random needles by doctors as a child, and in some cases was not sick but was fed medication she should not have taken.
Surgery
Topic 3: Black-hearted surgery
In a Chinese hospital in August 2022, a doctor named Liu Xiangfeng not only put healthy people through chemotherapy, he also dissected healthy organs when operating on people without any tumours or need of surgery. This matter is extremely serious and has affected the whole medical industry.

The cost of healthcare is getting higher and higher, and it doesn't take long for the so-called health insurance to go overdrawn. Older people get sick frequently, but cannot afford the medical bills. Will it end in treatment, or outright death?

Young children are locked up in the hospital for a month or more for what is clearly a minor illness. Constantly experiment on with all kinds of drugs and injections. How exactly should a child's health and safety be protected?

Going into the operating room is like going into the unknown. Are you surrounded by conscientious doctors, or black-hearted doctors? Please save your organs.
